We have put together a helpful funding guide, if you require more information, please select 'Not sure, help' in the estimator form above to request a copy.

Farley Salisbury Outdoor Nursery School is open 51 weeks a year from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday.

The nursery is closed for public holidays, for 3 days over Christmas and for 2 inset days each year. Our fees account for these closures, so no refund is applied.

We want to make life simple for families, so our fees include infant formula, milk, freshly prepared snacks and meals, nappies, wipes, and sun cream.

Parents are welcome to bring in their own nappies, wipes, and sun cream if preferred.

Places are offered in accordance with our Admissions Policy. To register and reserve a place, we take a non-refundable registration fee of £75 and a deposit of £150, which is credited towards your first invoice.

We offer a sibling discount of 5% on the elder sibling’s invoice. And we are pleased to offer the government’s 15 hours and 30 hours funding schemes.

We offer 25% discount on the fifth Full day, as reflected in the 5-day price above. We accept payment by Direct Debit, Tax-Free Childcare or Childcare Vouchers.

Please refer to our Funding Guide and Funding Agreement for more details – select 'Not sure, help' in the funding eligibility section of the fee-estimator form to request a Funding Guide.

Our experienced educators teach children using the Early Years Foundation Stage framework alongside our own Storal approach to curriculum.

Our hybrid approach to education allows children to learn and grow at an individual pace and in their own time.

Education continues in our wonderful outside spaces such as our Nissen Hut and main garden equipped with natural resources, sandpit, bark area and mud kitchen. Our sensory garden is a magical place for children to learn, exploring the scented flowers, balance beams and tyres.

Mealtimes at Forest Barn are a time for children to refuel, be sociable and learn about nutrition.

Healthy snacks and delicious fresh food are cooked every day by our onsite chef using local and seasonal produce when we can. Children enjoy experiencing new flavours and look forward to their favourite dishes.

Our educators encourage children to learn about where all that delicious food comes from, spending time tending and growing cherries, apples, pears and strawberries in our outdoor sensory garden.

Nursery for babies image

Babies

Our educators use our cosy spaces to create opportunities for babies to deepen their understanding of the world around them with sensory discovery and gentle play. Our experienced team will teach your baby to learn and develop new skills, from standing to walking and talking.

As they grow, babies can explore their imagination in our creative play area and all our babies enjoy time and fresh air in our main garden. After a busy morning of exploring and learning, there’s time to recharge. We know how important naps are, and make sure that when they need it, children can sleep.

Toddlers

As their story begins to take shape, growing toddlers are given the time and space to be more independent, discover and learn. Children make friends, learn to play alongside each other and become more aware of the world around them. Our experienced educators encourage language development too, starting with simple sounds and building to sentences.

Toddlers enjoy exploring our large home corner as well as story and circle time and sensory activities. When children need some quiet time away from the hustle and bustle, our cosy wigwam allows them to curl up and immerse themselves in a story.

Preschool

With growing confidence and ability, we prepare our preschool children for the learning journey ahead with a focus on phonics, numbers and social skills. They’ll also continue to learn through play and are introduced to Spanish.

Children spend their final year at Forest Barn getting ready for primary school. By this time, they have made firm friendships and leave us as independent, curious and confident learners, ready for the next chapter of their own story.
